Market Hall Programme
11am, 1pm and 2pm - The Environment Agency Flood Resiliance Theatre Show
The ‘Washed Away’ interactive play explores themes of flood risk and resilience in an innovative and engaging way. Members of the audience are invited to select personal items that have been washed away in a flood.Through music and storytelling, each item’s unique and personal backstory is explored to emphasise the range of impacts that flooding can have on individuals and communities. The performance aims to reach a wide audience to raise awareness of flood risk and resilience. Flood Resilience Community Engagement team members from the Environment Agency will be able to answer questions and provide resources and support for those interested further in flood resilience measures.
12pm and 3pm - Big Science Show - the children get to watch our favourite Big Science demonstrations including Dry Ice, Air Cannon, Whoosh Bottle plus others. Our Big Science Shows are engaging and really make Science fun.
1pm - 3pm - Big Science Drop in Stand - the children get to ‘drop in’ and do some quick Big Science experiments. The children can make their own pot of sherbet and we explore the science along the way. Making sherbet is free and every child even gets something to dip in.
