Celebrating the year of the Dragon!
Chinese New Year 2024 is the Year of the Dragon according to the Chinese zodiac. Each year in the Chinese zodiac is associated with an animal sign, and the Dragon is considered a symbol of strength, courage, and good fortune. It is a time to embrace Chinese traditions, enjoy delicious food, and wish for prosperity and happiness in the year ahead.
11am - 3pm Chinese Dragon crafts with Carol in Queen Street Shopping Centre, next to Rymans.
10am - Storytelling followed by Chinese New Year themed Lego challenge at the library.
1pm - Storytelling followed by Chinese New Year themed crafts at the library.
Visit Sing Tea 11am – 3pm where Ting and her team will be wearing traditional Chinese Costume, join in some activities including Chinese hankie spinning and enter a competition to win a hamper of goodies.
