The Darlington Food & Drink Festival Returns!

First published: Monday 23 Aug 2021

Our award winning Darlington Food and Drink Festival returns this year as a four-day event that not
only coincides with Darlington’s Mish Mash Music Festival, but the opening of the newly developed
street food and entertainment section of the indoor market!

The Food and Drink Festival will span across four days starting on Friday 27th August, right through
until Monday 30th August.

There will be an array of amazing street food vendors from across the region, serving delicious foods
from burgers and pizzas, to Armenian and poffertje pancakes. In addition to the street food options,
we also have food producers selling products such as jams, cakes and cookies, not to mention there
will also be several bars and even gin and alcohol producer stalls.

The Darlington Food and Drink Festival is a free to attend event and will be hosted across the market
square as well as many traders wrapping themselves around the market building. Darlington
Market’s regular traders will all still be in their usual position on West Row.

We kick off on Friday 27th August, offering an outdoor seating area as well as the brand new indoor
street food dining experience within the Darlington Market building, where live music entertainment
will also debut from around 7:30pm.

On Saturday and Sunday, Mish Mash will be providing the musical entertainment throughout the day,
as well as the new Darlington Market stage where cooking demos will be on show throughout the
day leading into more live music on the new stage in the evening. On Monday 30th August we wrap
up with a full day of pure food and drink, vendors around the market and across the square ready for
you to enjoy the August Bank Holiday.

It’s four days of food, drink, entertainment, shopping and discovery, highlighting once again how
great our town is.

We look forward to seeing you there!
