Darlington Market has continued to be open throughout the lockdown period, providing essential food supplies of fresh meats, fish, vegetables, and deli items. Many traders have expanded their business to include home delivery and collection services so they can continue to serve the most vulnerable in the community.
In line with the latest government guidance, we are pleased to say that the retail traders will be able to open from Monday 15th June, and we are currently running slightly reduced hours of 8am - 2pm Monday – Saturday. Health and Safety measures will be in place including social distancing markers, hand sanitising facilities and market staff and traders will be on hand to give you advice.
We are still finalising plans to restart our outdoor Monday, Thursday and Saturday markets, relocated into the Market Square to increase the space available to allow social distancing at the market and along High Row and Northgate.
Shortly we will be posting updates regarding the restart of the outdoor market on our Facebook Page (Darlington Market) where you can also see detailed and up to date information about our opening times, new initiatives and trader updates.
Many of our traders are offering delivery services and will continue to do so, so please get in touch with them directly via their social media pages to learn more.
