Classic cinema screenings at Darlington Hippodrome

As part of our September season of socially-distanced activities, we are pleased to announce that tickets for our first season of classic cinema screenings are on sale now.

There's something for everyone in this eclectic mix of films showing in our beautifully-restored Edwardian auditorium.

Films on sale now are:

  Grease - Thursday 10 September, 3pm

  Stand By Me - Friday 11 September, 3pm

  Mary Poppins - Saturday 12 September, 3pm

  Breakfast at Tiffany's - Thursday 17 September, 3pm

  Napoleon Dynamite - Friday 18 September, 3pm

  This is Spinal Tap - Friday 18 September, 7pm

  The Graduate - Thursday 24 September, 3pm

  Withnail & I - Friday 25 September, 3pm

Groups of seats are 2+ metres apart in line with government guidelines on social distancing.
Groups of seats should only be occupied by members of the same household.

You don't need to be coming to an event to spend some time in the Hipp. You can browse the theatre’s gallery spaces from 10am to 2pm Monday to Saturday and our box office and Hippo Lounge café will be open from 10am to 2pm Monday to Saturday.
